What it is
What is an SEO website grader?
An SEO website grader is a free online tool that scans a web page and rates how well it is optimised for search engines like Google. Instead of guessing why a page is not ranking, you enter the URL and get an instant SEO score with a plain-English list of what is working, what is broken and what to fix first.
My grader runs real checks on the live page every time: titles and meta tags, headings, indexability, robots.txt, XML sitemap, schema, image alt text, internal links, page speed, Core Web Vitals from Google PageSpeed Insights, mobile setup and security headers.
In short
A website grader is an automated SEO checker. It tests a page against SEO best practices, scores it from 0 to 100 and tells you exactly what to improve to win more rankings, traffic and leads.

Your score
Understanding your SEO score
Your SEO score is a single number from 0 to 100 that sums up how well the page follows search engine best practices.
80 to 100
Excellent
Well optimised. Focus on keeping it that way and fine-tuning.
60 to 79
Good
A solid base with clear wins still available.
40 to 59
Needs work
Several issues are likely limiting your visibility.
0 to 39
Poor
Critical problems are holding the site back. Fix these first.
Tip: track your score in one tool over time instead of comparing numbers across different graders, since every tool weights factors differently. Re-grade your site after each round of fixes to measure progress.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is the SEO website grader really free?
Yes. It is 100% free with no signup. Enter any URL to get your SEO score and priority fixes in seconds.
How accurate is the SEO score?
Every check runs on the live page you enter, and speed and Core Web Vitals come straight from Google PageSpeed Insights. It is a reliable guide to SEO best practice, though no tool can predict Google rankings exactly.
Does it check my whole website?
It checks the page you enter, usually your homepage, plus site-wide files like robots.txt and your XML sitemap. Grade your key service pages one by one, or ask me for a full audit.
Can I grade any website, including competitors?
Yes. You can enter any public URL, including a competitor, to see how your site compares.
How often should I check my website SEO?
Run a check after any big change to your site and at least once a month, so new issues are caught early.
What is a good SEO score?
80 to 100 is excellent and 60 to 79 is good. Anything below 60 means there are issues worth fixing soon.
Does the grader check mobile-friendliness and page speed?
Yes. It checks your mobile viewport, zoom and responsive images, and pulls mobile performance, Largest Contentful Paint, layout shift and blocking time from Google.
What should I do after I get my SEO score?
Fix the highest-priority issues first, then grade the page again to measure the improvement. If you would rather have it done for you, message me for a free 15-minute review.
